Breakfast: Porridge, sultanas and cinnamon
Lunch: Salad, hard boiled egg and tuna
Dinner: Lemon and pepper quorn escalops, stir fry veg coated in soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, chilli and ginger with new potatoes.

Whoop Whoop

My yummy lunch (Salad, Hummous and a pitta)

Well today made me smile! I went into New Look because my size 16 trousers had started falling down and i've had to strat wearing a belt. So I thought I'd try on a pair of size 14 jeans to see how they felt thinking they'd still feel a bit snug and that I was in the inbetween size, well they didn't the fit perfectly no over hang or anything I'm so happy!!! I didn't buy them just yet but at least I know I am now a size 14 :-D. I've done loads of washing today as Sunday is my laundry day all that lugging of a heavy washing basket and folding clothes etc has hopefully burnt some calories off.

Getting excited

Well I'm getting really excited about starting Slimming World on Tuesday. I picked up a copy of Woman magazine today which had a voucher for free membership so that saves me £10. I went for an indian meal tonight it was good even though I ate some things I really should have peshwari naan being one of those things but hey it was a birthday celebration so doesn't happen everyday.

Slight Blip

Well after the post yesterday I had a slight blip lol. I ended up eating a chicken tikka slice and a small slice of goldern syrup cake (really don't think they're gonna be free on Slimming World lol). Oh well today has been okish I have 2 crumpets for breakfast at my mother and toddler group, I had the other chicken tikka slice from last nights pack for my lunch with a banana and for tea I'm having steak, slimming world chips and loads of mixed veg. So the only thing I could have done better on was my lunch, but I've had no snacks so am hoping that will make up for it plus with the walking to group and back as well.

Good day

Today has gone well although I've felt run down I still had breakfast even though was a fat free yogurt. I even walked into town and back so got my excercise in as well. Lunch I had chicken tikka and for dinner i've had homemade cottage pie with loads of veg in it and lean mince.

Tomorrow I have got a mother and toddler group in the morning which i'll walk, to we get given breakfast there tends to be toast and crumpets so will just stick to a crumpet rather than bread, and also have a nice steaming cup of tea.  Hope you all have had a good day to.

Time for change

(Me at my heaviest)

Well I suppose as this is my first post I should introduce myself. I'm Emily, I'm 26 years old. I have 2 sons Joseph who is 4 and Michael who is 2 I'm also Married. I have been unemployed for 3 years after getting told I needed to give up work as I had m.e. and Fibromyalgia which I got after Joseph's traumatic birth. But I'm not here to tell you a sob story, I'm hoping this is going to be a story of success!

I put on most of my weight whilst pregnant with Joseph, 3 stone to be exact and this was mainly down to not really eating right and my gestational diabetes not being picked up till 2 days before giving birth. After I had Joseph I lost some weight but put it all back on and more when I was carrying Michael. When Michael was born I was at my heaviest I have ever been 85kg and just before Christmas 2011 had I finally had enough and I decided I was going to lose this weight once and for all, so I went to the weight loss nurse. Since seeing the weight loss nurse my weight as of today is 80kg and my target weight is 57kg so I will then be comfortably within a healthy bmi range. Currently I am avoiding bread, eating off a small plate which i divide into 3 half being veg one quarter being protein and the other quarter being carb. I've increased my walking as well as my form of exercise.
On Tuesday I am planning to join my local Slimming World group for extra support so I will let you know how that goes. The aim of my blog is to get my story out, my triumphs and also my downfalls. I don't plan to lie if I have a blip you will be told. I'm hoping my story will help others by giving ideas people may not have tried or just so they know losing weight isn't easy going and we all have the odd blip. I also don't mind people contacting me if they want some help.
